Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Ethnologue is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Ethnologue is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Our development efforts aim to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, Level AA criteria. These guidelines support accessibility across a range of needs, ultimately benefiting all users, regardless of their abilities.
Conformance to (WCAG) is ongoing. Here you can find a list of issues in the development pipeline, scheduled to be completed for the 29th edition of Ethnologue in February 2026.
